Training-Recreational camps of Jewish students were held with the presence of 300 students from elementary and guidance schools in four regions in July and August of summer 2003. According to the report provided by Eng. Robert Khaldar, the head of the camps, the classes and recreational programs were adequately welcomed in the current year and the number of participants showed a growth of %25 as compared to the previous year.
The classes were held on odd days of week from 9:30 to 12:00 and these classes included Hebrew language instruction, reciting Sidur (the Jewish prayer book) as well as religious and Jewish cultural education. Thursdays were also dedicated to recreational and cultural visits and sightseeing including cinemas, theaters of Mind Education Center, walking in parks and visiting the Jews’ Central Library.
The ending ceremony of this two-month program was a happy celebration in Mohebban Jews Hall, in which students, authorities, and instructors of the camps took part.
