The 2nd congress of Iran's Jewish students was held in August
2009 for three consecutive days in Tehran. The program was held with the efforts
of the members of the Youths Committee in collaboration with Farid Yashar and
Bahador Mikaeilian under the support of Tehran Jewish Association. It was
managed by Ms. Naghmeh Arabzadeh and Payam Hakhamian. The participants in the
congress were 50 students being 14-18 y/o who took part in the congress from 8
Iranian cities including Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Hamedan, Kerman, Kermanshah,
Kamyaran and Rafsanjan.
Creation of a suitable environment to introduce social activities to the Jewish
students under friendly conditions and to increase their motivation for taking
part in group activities as well as to strengthen the spirit of cooperation
among them, were the most important targets for which the congress was held.
To achieve these goals, the congress authorities first formed a committee
consisting of active students in Jewish youths bodies in Tehran (including
Iran's Jewish Students Org., Tehran House of Jewish Youths, Gisha Jewish Youths
Org., Bagh Saba Youths Org., Iranian Jewish Knowledge and Research Foundation)
and they took the advantages of their cooperation and advices for better
planning and executing of the congress
